Privacy Policy

The Social Commerce Festival ("SCFest") is organized by Creator Market Productions Inc. ("CMP," "SCFest," "we," "our," or "us"), a company based in the United States.

We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at events@socialcommercefest.com.

This policy covers socialcommercefest.com and the information we handle when you browse the site, contact us, or attend the Event.

It does not cover third-party services we link to. When you buy a ticket, view our media kit, or open one of our social profiles, you leave our site and that company's own privacy policy applies. That includes:

• Luma — ticketing and registration
• TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn — our social profiles
• DocSend — our sponsor and media kit

You can browse this site without telling us anything about yourself. We only receive information you choose to send, which is usually:

• Your name and email address, and anything else you write, when you email us
• Partnership, sponsorship, or exhibitor enquiry details

Ticket purchases do not happen on this website. They are handled by Luma, and the details you enter there are collected by Luma under its own policy. We receive attendee information from Luma so we can run the Event.

Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit:

• IP address and approximate location (typically city or region level)
• Device type, browser, and operating system
• Pages you viewed, links you clicked, and how long you stayed
• The page or advert that referred you to us
• Date and time of your visit

This is collected through cookies and similar technologies — see Cookies & Tracking below.

We may receive information about you from:

• Our ticketing platform, so we know who is attending and can contact you about the Event
• Advertising platforms, in aggregate, telling us how our campaigns performed — for example how many people who saw an advert later visited this site

The Event is photographed, recorded, and sometimes livestreamed. Attending means you may appear in that footage, and you grant us permission to use your name, likeness, image, voice, and appearance as set out in our Ticket Terms & Conditions.

If you would prefer not to appear in a specific photograph or recording, tell a member of SCFest staff at the Event, or email us afterwards and we will do what we reasonably can.

We use the TikTok Pixel on every page of this site. It is a small piece of code that sets cookies in your browser and tells TikTok about your visit.

What it sends to TikTok includes the page you viewed, your IP address and device details, and certain actions you take — most notably clicking through to buy a ticket.

We use it to understand which adverts and channels actually bring people to the festival, and to measure and improve our advertising. TikTok also uses this data under its own privacy policy.

The pixel loads for all visitors. This site does not currently provide its own pixel opt-out control. A browser or extension that blocks tracking requests may prevent the pixel from loading.

Strictly necessary

Cookies the site needs to work at all, such as remembering your session. These cannot be turned off from within the site.

Advertising and measurement

Cookies set by the TikTok Pixel, described above.

We do not use cookies to build a profile of you across unrelated websites beyond what the TikTok Pixel does for advertising measurement.

You have several options to limit or block this tracking:

• Your browser — configure it to block third-party cookies or tracking requests. Deleting existing cookies alone does not prevent later pixel requests.
• Your TikTok account — its Privacy and Ads settings can limit how TikTok uses your off-TikTok activity for advertising. These settings do not stop this site from sending pixel requests.
• A tracker-blocking extension or a browser with tracking protection may prevent the pixel request, depending on its settings.

Blocking these cookies does not stop you using this site or buying a ticket. Nothing on the site is withheld from you for opting out.

• To run the Event — managing attendance, sending you what you need to know before and after
• To answer you — responding to enquiries you send us
• To improve the site — understanding which pages are useful and which are not
• To advertise — measuring which campaigns work and reaching people likely to be interested
• To keep things safe and lawful — preventing fraud and abuse, and meeting our legal obligations

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

If you are in the UK or the EU, we rely on:

• Contract — to provide the Event you registered for
• Legitimate interests — to run, secure, measure, and advertise our site and our events, balanced against your rights
• Legal obligation — where the law requires us to keep or disclose records

To be straightforward with you: the TikTok Pixel currently loads for every visitor rather than waiting for you to opt in. You can limit or block this tracking using the options in How to Opt Out above, and you can object to our reliance on legitimate interests by emailing us.

• Service providers who work on our behalf — ticketing, email delivery, hosting, and analytics. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
• Advertising platforms, principally TikTok, as described in The TikTok Pixel.
• Event partners and sponsors, only where you have chosen to share your details with them — for example by opting in at a booth or activation. We do not hand over the attendee list.
• Authorities or advisers, where the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of people at the Event.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Californian law defines "sharing" broadly. Because we use an advertising pixel, our use of it may count as sharing personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA. You have the right to opt out — see How to Opt Out, or email us and we will action it.

We are based in the United States and our service providers are largely US-based, so information about you is stored and processed in the US.

If you are in the UK or the EU, this means your information is transferred outside your country. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK and EU standard contractual clauses or an equivalent approved mechanism. Contact us if you would like more detail.

You have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy
• Have inaccurate information corrected
• Ask us to delete your information
• Ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it
• Receive your information in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it

You also have the right to complain to your data protection regulator — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office. We would rather you came to us first so we can put things right.

You have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect, use, and share, and why
• Request a copy of it
• Ask us to correct or delete it
• Opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

Exercising these rights will never change the price you pay or the access you get to the Event.

Email events@socialcommercefest.com and tell us what you would like us to do.

We may need to confirm your identity before we act, so that we do not hand your information to someone else. We aim to respond within the time your local law allows, and will tell you if we need longer. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy — typically for the run-up to an Event and a reasonable period afterwards, and longer where tax, accounting, or legal rules require it.

When we no longer need it, we delete it or render it anonymous.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and limiting access to those who need it.

No website or system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects you and the law requires us to tell you, we will.

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it. Age requirements for attending the Event are set out in our Ticket Terms & Conditions.

We may update this policy as the festival, our tools, or the law change. The date at the top of this page always shows when it was last updated.

If we make a significant change to how we use your information, we will make that clear rather than quietly editing this page.
